Who are we looking for?
GemOne is looking for a DevOps Engineer to join our Platform team within our broader Products organization. You will mainly be focusing on improving our existing infrastructure, as well as coming up with and implementing new solutions that drive our business forward. A flavor of what you will be doing:
- Design, develop, and maintain Terraform configurations for creating and managing GCP resources
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) best practices
- Automate infrastructure deployments and configuration management using CI/CD pipelines
- Collaborate with product development teams to ensure smooth deployments and operations
- Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure issues
- Stay up-to-date on the latest GCP and Terraform features and best practices
On top of that, you can be asked to work on other value-adding projects for which GemOne knows and sees the potential it can bring to our own company and our customers, but which is to date still a greenfield within our organization -therefore you will be able to play a pioneering role in exploiting these greenfields.
Aside from the above mentioned “objectives”, you will also be able to learn from state-of-the-art IoT technology, together with a joyous mix of high-potentials and well seasoned professionals -if you want to learn a lot and very quickly, then you’ve come to the right place
Given the importance of this role, a minimum office attendance of 3 days / week is required.
Are you the one?
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Bitbucket Pipelines, Jenkins, Gitlab CI/CD)
- Scripting experience with languages like Bash or Python
- Knowledge of Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles
- Experience with a cloud service provider, preferably GCP
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Gesundes Maß an Kritik, d. h. keine Scheu, den Status quo in Frage zu stellen
- Proaktive Denkweise – Probleme/Herausforderungen erkennen, aber auch mögliche Lösungen entwerfen und umsetzen
- Fluent in English
Bonus Points:
- Experience with container orchestration tools (e.g., Kubernetes)
- Experience with infrastructure monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Cloud Monitoring)
- Experience in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment
